Use case
How to Research Target Accounts with AI
Build evidence-backed account briefs with AI enrichment, web research, CRM context, fit and timing separation, and source-level review.

An account brief should answer “why this company, why now, and what do we know?” with evidence. It should not produce a flattering paragraph assembled from stale snippets.
Workflow
- Start with the CRM account and canonical domain. Exclude customers, open opportunities, competitors, and suppressed records.
- Use Apollo or Clay for firmographics and contacts. Record provider and retrieval date.
- Search primary company sources for strategy, launches, hiring, leadership changes, and technical signals. Perplexity can accelerate discovery; Bardeen can collect tightly scoped browser data.
- Separate stable fit from time-sensitive triggers. Attach a URL and date to each trigger.
- Produce a one-page brief: company, fit, priorities, verified signals, likely stakeholders, open questions, and suggested discovery—not a fabricated pain claim.
Controls
Reject signals without a primary source or clear date. Do not infer budget, intent, or personal interest from weak activity. Write the evidence back to the CRM with an expiry date.
