Use case
How to Create Vector Brand Assets with AI
Generate and refine icons, illustration systems, and vector concepts while protecting distinctiveness, editability, and trademark safety.

AI can widen the concept search for icons and illustrations. It cannot determine whether a mark is distinctive, ownable, or optically balanced.
Workflow
- Write a semantic brief: what the symbol must communicate, where it appears, minimum size, color constraints, and motifs to avoid.
- Generate broad directions in Recraft or Adobe Firefly. Do not feed competitor logos as style targets.
- Select concepts by meaning and silhouette, not polish.
- Simplify paths, correct geometry, normalize stroke behavior, and remove redundant points.
- Build size, color, and state variants in Figma or the team's design system.
- Run visual similarity and trademark review before identity use.
Test the system
An icon set should remain coherent at 16px, in one color, and beside existing components. An illustration system needs repeatable perspective, palette, line weight, and human representation. Generate at least six related assets before approving the direction; one good icon proves little.
