What it does well
Firefly is strongest when generation is one step in an edit. Photoshop's generative fill and expand workflows let a designer constrain where change occurs. Reference controls help preserve style or composition, and Adobe's ecosystem makes the result easier to hand off than a flattened prompt output.
Where it falls short
Prompt-only results may feel less striking than specialist image generators, and generative-credit rules change with media type and plan. Reddit discussions from working designers often favor fill and cleanup over Firefly as a sole concept engine. Verify text, hands, logos, and product geometry at full resolution.
